Making money in weddings – Here’s a quick tip on how to get more brides to book you (and it’s not what you think!) 🤔

Ok – so I just did a little TicTok post on this and thought it was a good one so I wanted to elaborate here 🙂 Here’s a quick tip on how to get more brides to book with you.

It’s not about offering more. You don’t need to offer more hours, more time, extra edits, stay late for cleanup, offer more in-person or Zoom meetings. Your value isn’t about how many things you have listed in your package. And you’ll never out-do your competitors by offering more.

I say this because this is what I thought I had to do to stand out to new Brides & Grooms. I thought that if I offered more time on their wedding day that it be a no-brainer for them to book me… especially because I was priced at a lower price point.

This worked, sometimes, but not really.

👉🏽 Here’s why – lowering your price also reduces your VALUE in your brides eyes. They start to think “I wonder why she’s so cheap”, and then you start *unknowingly of course* attracting the cheapo budget brides that want everything for free or super cheap.

You don’t wanna do this – trust me. You’ll end up overworking and feeling resentful, exhausted and hating your job. A job that is fabulous and one which you should love!

So, here’s what you need to do instead and I tell you this from over a decade of experience.

🚫 Stop focusing on giving away more for less money.

Instead really start thinking about what makes you different. How is the experience of working with you going to be that much better than working with another photographer (wedding planner, hair and makeup artist, officiant videographer – etc.).

✅ How are YOU going to make your couples life THAT much better?

✅ How are you going to make the months leading up to their wedding that much easier?

✅ How are you going to make their wedding day that much more amazing?

✅ How is working with you a NO BRAINER?

✅ Why are you different, what makes you unique?

✅ How is the final product – whether this is the experience of their wedding day OR the a final product (photos, video, etc.), going to blow them away? Be something they treasure forever?

⚡️ Make them look back and say “YESSS thank god we chose her?! (or him!)?

THIS is the stuff you need to SELL on all of your social platforms, on your website and over sales calls.

This is the stuff you need to get really clear on and really good at communicating.

It’s gonna take some practice, but once you master this, just watch how weddings just start appearing and bookings begin to happen so much more naturally. 💫
