I’m so stoked you’re on this adventure to take your wedding biz to the next level. I know first hand how hard it can be to start a business and always wished I had someone who could guide me. It would have been especially cool if there was someone I knew in my industry who had done it already and who
already knew all the tricks. But, unfortunately when I was getting started in weddings, there wasn’t anyone so I’m pretty much self taught – but after doing this for over a decade I’m pretty confident I could start and grow any business in a year – and I’m specifically an expert in the wedding industry. So if you have a business in weddings and are looking to grow – you’re in the right place. I’m here to help you skip all the unnecessary waste of time stuff and get clear on what really matters. I have three little boys. I guess they’re not that little anymore, but they were when I was building my business and I still consider them little.
Cool mom fact – I had 3 boys in 3 years and my oldest son has the same birthday as my youngest. Then the middle one falls exactly 1.5 yrs between the two. Like pretty much to the day. I know how hard it is to build a biz while being a mom. Kuddos to you if you’re doing it. I have A LOT of mom business hacks – sharing these frequently too so stay tuned.

The wedding business wasn’t the first business I started. I tried to get several others off the ground before deciding to get into wedding planning. A funeral design business was one of them. Don’t laugh. I’m dead serious.
I designed funeral graphics (programs, posters, prayer cards) and went door to door to every funeral home nearby to get my brochures and samples in to get customers and clients. I some business, my stuff was awesome and everyone loved it – BUT, I learned quickly that people planning funerals don’t want to spend money. You can’t start a business without someone who has money that they want to spend. Hard lesson learned.
Good news – Weddings is the complete opposite. Brides and grooms have money to spend, want to spend money and are expecting to spend money. So hi-5 to you – you choose the right business 🙌🏼
I know you’re probably kinda wondering why should I trust you. What do you know that I don’t.
Well, I’ve failed at multiple businesses before I figured out the secret sauce to making it work. So, I know a thing or two about what doesn’t work and what does. And, yes, I’ve been in your shoes – for far longer than I’d like to admit. But, I’m not there anymore 🎉
I’ve built, grown and scaled two 6 figure businesses with a team of 6. And set it up in a way that allows me to work roughly 6-12 hours a week (often less). This is something I’m exceptionally good at – setting up systems that allow you to scale and create lots of free time. I love my free time – and you should be having it too!
I’d confidently say that I know my shit. Fun fact, I have another business selling products (out of our home) we sell home decor online to states around the US and all over the world, and I’ve grown that little business to gross nearly $500k. My wedding biz is at the $200k+ mark – and I don’t say this to brag – but I want you to see that I know a thing or two about how to run, grow and build a business.
I know A LOT about branding, website SEO and google rankings, getting media coverage, marketing and sales, hiring a team and scaling, managing a team, prioritizing what matters, creating systems that build client trust and most importantly – building financial freedom in a way that gives you lots of time off. You’ve got kids or maybe just better things to do than work all day – and I’m right there with you. I know some of ya’ll are working your ass off and I’m just here to show you that it doesn’t have to be that way if you have the right systems in place.
