Let’s take a minute to talk about the fear of saying “no”.

Do you have a “feeling something needs to change, but feel too afraid to do it?

When I was in the beginning stages of building my wedding business, I didn’t have the confidence to say “no” to a lot of things. This fear kept me stuck at the $30k mark for years.

What’s funny is that I new what I needed to do. I just didn’t feel safe enough to actually do it.

😵 It was the fear of saying no to every couple that came my way – even when I new they weren’t the best fit for my services and I knew they were gonna make my job and life harder.

😵 The fear or saying “no” to the request for weekly meetings – even though I knew they totally didn’t need weekly meetings and I completely dreaded doing them because they created way more work with little results and they were totally unnecessary.

😵 The fear of really digging into the back end of my business, finances, invoicing, taxes – because I thought I wasn’t good at “that stuff”.

😵 The fear of breaking away from my partner even though I knew she was holding me back – because she was my best friend.

Taking big risks in your business can feel scary, but it’s these steps that allow you to open up to new opportunities, more money and more flow.

I didn’t trust my instinct because I was scared. Scared of making the wrong decisions, scared of losing money, scared of doing something untested and new, scared of saying “no”.

Once I started trusting my intuition, going with my gut, and taking big chances – this is when my business really started to take off.

I stopped trying so hard to book more weddings to make money and instead focused on creating my dream wedding business – one that really worked FOR me.

Then, naturally the money followed.

So – if you’ve got a gut feeling about something that needs to change in your business don’t ignore it. Take the risk and do the hard thing knowing that big growth and expansion is worth it. 💫

It won’t go away anyway, your expansion is inevitable.
